A dam is a machine prototype capable of carrying out scientific experiments and generate knowledge autonomously. L E
automaton is presented to society this week in the journal Science, which explains all their potential for science. The existence of powerful computers and other devices is part of every day in almost every department of investigation. The difference is that Adam has made a simple biological experiment following the scientific process and without human intervention.
E n white concrete fill some existing managed in the genetic code yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae ). With its fully automated hardware, it only requires a technician to add or remove waste materials, run biological experiments designing the growth of plaque samples and measuring the growth curves in defined environments.
P ara sure that Adam successfully complete the experiment, the researchers repeated their work with experimental methods and check that they had not committed any error.

A lthough this machine is a prototype to improve, their designers are already thinking about the next automata which he named as Eva . that will greatly assist scientists searching for new drugs for infectious diseases caused by parasites tropical areas. Ero
P creators say Adam and Eve, for the time it takes the human participation to provide the materials or to interpret the equations. In the words of its creators: "The machines do not become obsolete with the scientists, but they can take the hard work, helping the experts to focus more quickly what the most interesting."
